Her diverse professional background includes work on a crisis unit and involvement with Medicaid waivers, reflecting her commitment to addressing the complexities of mental health and social support systems. Carrie’s passion for healing and her remarkable ability to advocate for those in need have led her to connect hundreds of individuals with stable housing. Her work transforms lives and serves as a source of inspiration for her peers and the community at large. Meet Clay! His journey began at Evansville State Hospital, where he supported patients with chronic mental illness, sparking his passion for helping those in need of BDDS services. A compassionate listener, Clay excels at building personal connections and guiding clients through recovery.
Starting as a psychiatric technician, he quickly advanced to unit social worker after earning his BSW from the University of Southern Indiana in 2021. He has worked in diverse settings, including all-male and geriatric units, and conducts clinical assessments at Brentwood Springs. His expertise includes chronic mental health challenges, trauma, lower IQ, identity struggles, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Committed to lifelong learning, he completed his MSW immediately after his BSW.
Beyond therapy, Clay enjoys collecting Pokémon plushies, playing video games, and watching anime and true crime documentaries—interests that help him connect with clients on a personal level.
